Official Rules

Dates:
Contest begins October 18, 2014 12:01am MST and ends December 1, 2014 at 11:59pm MST.

The #TheOutdoorsNet is sponsored by TheOutdoorsNet.com and its parent Red Lodge Technologies, LLC.

Who Can Win:
Anyone who is a resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia is eligible to enter. Employees of the Sponsor and other organizations affiliated with this contest including sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support, advertisement or promotion of this contest are not eligible to enter or win. Only one entry or photograph per person is allowed.

How to Enter the Photo Contest :

Participants can enter three ways;

1. Facebook – Upload an original photograph to your Facebook account. In order for your entry to be validated your Facebook profile settings should be set so we can preview your photograph. Photo Contest entries must be hashtagged with #TheOutdoorsNet to be entered.
2. Instagram – Use the Instagram application on your mobile device and upload an original photograph to your Instagram account. In order for your entry to be validated your Instagram profile settings must be public. Photo contest entries must be hashtagged with #TheOutdoorsNet, tag @theoutdoorsnet or Direct Message (DM) us to be entered.
3. Twitter- Upload an original photograph to your Twitter account. In order for your entry to be validated your Twitter profile settings must be made public. Photo contest entries must be hashtagged with #TheOutdoorsNet to be entered.

How to Enter the Video Contest:

Same three ways of entering the Photo Contest via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter when you #TheOutdoorsNet and upload a video to your account also applies for the Video Contest. Some restrictions like length of video, etc. may apply for each application. Video, Webisode or Show must be 10 minutes or less.

You may also enter a video by the following;

1. Produce a short Video, Webisode or Show of what you love to do in the Outdoors in 10 minutes or less, sign in to register at www.theoutdoorsnet.com and provide a YouTube, Vimeo or similar online link to your video and submit it to be entered.
2. Go to our home page at www.theoutdoorsnet.com , click on the “Contact” page at the bottom of the page. Fill out the Form and in the Message area provide a link to your Video, Webisode or Show and click Send.

This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube or Vimeo. Entrants agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless all of the above, its officers, directors and employees from any and all claims, losses or liabilities of any kind relating to the operation of this photo contest.

How to Win:

Valid Video and Photo Contest entries will be judged based on the following criteria;

• 50% – Originality, show us something different.
• 25% – Quality and appeal of Video or Photograph, Photo entries must be wearing face paint.
• 25% – Outdoor background or unique setting in the Video or Photograph

After the contest period has ended the top Videos and Photographs will be judged by an independent judging committee whose decisions will be final and the winner will be selected from all qualified entries in each category . Winners will be notified online using the method of entry they used or will be announced on TheOutdoorsNet.com social networking sites and the winners will need to contact us within 48 hours and provide proper contact and mailing information in order to claim their prize. Winners are subject to validation and verification of eligibility with all the “Terms and Conditions” on our website and for the “Official Rules” for this contest. Failure to respond will result in disqualification and another winner will be selected. Winners will be announced approximately one week after the completion of the contest.

Participant and Prize Disclaimers:
All videos and photographs must be original content which have not been enhanced, modified, or altered in any way. Videos and Photographs cannot infringe upon the rights of others or contain any inappropriate content or nudity. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason. Upon entering the contest and sharing any personal information the Sponsor reserves the right to use or share submitted videos or photographs without permission, consent or license on its website or any and all social networking sites. Valid entries constitute permission to use each video or photograph for promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of the Sponsor and Prize Partners without their knowledge or any compensation.

By participating and winning a prize winners release Sponsor, its affiliates, agencies and Prize Partners and their respective officers, directors, agents and employees from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the contest. Participants are subject to all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited and any tax liability is the sole responsibility of the person winning the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value or cancel the contest at any time for any reason. Sponsor is not responsible for any entries which might be lost, deleted, modified or never received due to technical difficulties, computer malfunction or internet connection problems. Any non-human, computerized or automated form of entry is prohibited. Any person suspected of tampering with the entry process or operation of the website in any way is a violation of criminal and civil law and could be prosecuted.
